Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure and maintain a smooth running of the Teacher’s
Resource Centre (TRC) & Guided Individual Learning Centre (GILC).
- Assist with the use of computer equipment.
- Manage and keep track of all the resources available
(books, stationery and materials) in the Teacher’s Resource Centre & Guided
Individual Learning Centre
- Develop, support and implement policy of the Teacher’s
Resource Centre & Guided Individual Learning Centre
- Ensure that Teacher’s Resource Centre & Guided
Individual Learning Centre services meet the needs of the students
- Prepare books, stationery boxes, DIP folders, for teachers
based on the schedules.
- Ensure that resources are used well and in a reasonable
amount.
- Supply resources to other departments as per requests.
- Check and fix broken books in TRC.
- Be responsible for first-aid support and request to admin
to replace what is needed in the first-aid box in TRC.
- Stock count & resources check - check stationery
resources (what's left, what's needed, etc.), refill empty markers, collect
recycle paper, etc.
- Make a purchase request in the P2P, Ariba & Concur
system - discuss and double check with CM before putting the request in the
system. Usually A4 paper & stationery, and sometimes purchase new
textbooks.
- Assist in calling campaigns during the term and the term
break.
- Prepare for the end of term to assist the marking, A5
paper for printing, etc.
- General communication with staff - regular reminders about
TRC policy/practices, maintain a good, clean and organized shared working space
in the TRC/staffroom by removing any stuff (teaching materials, personal
belongings, backpacks, etc.) left unattended at the workstation or staffroom.
- TRC book review - once a year to verify the books with the
date in the system to find any book loss or books without codes, fix the broken
books or remove any resources too old, etc.
- Manage and keep track of stock and purchases regularly.
- Maintain a welcoming learning and working space (in GILC
and Staffroom).
- Provide support on other tasks assigned by immediate
supervisor.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Experience in maintaining and using databases.
- Experience and understand the TRC & GILC.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Good command of computer skills and organizational skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well with staff and students in a
professional manner to maintain development, organization, classification, and
preservation of resources in the TRC & GILC.
- Ability to work in a flexible shift (08:00am to 19:30)
