Key responsibilities:
A Study Abroad Counsellor guides students
through the process of pursuing education overseas. This includes providing
personalized advice on suitable programs and institutions, assisting with
applications and visa processes, and offering support on pre-departure
preparations to ensure a smooth transition to studying abroad.
· - Provide counselling
services on study and visa applications to clients
- Provide general
administrative support to the Study Abroad Resource Centre
· - Ensure that all clients
are professionally served, and a feedback system is effectively implemented
· - Participate in the
development and implementation of promotion campaigns and branding strategies
· - Assist in event
management (e.g. Study Abroad Expos)
· - Other tasks as requested
by the manager
Skills of a Study Abroad Counselor
- Positive Attitude: Maintains an optimistic and encouraging mindset to
support students through the complex and sometimes stressful process of
studying abroad.
- Effective Communication skills: Clearly conveys information, both verbally and in writing, to students,
parents, and partner institutions, always ensuring accuracy and
professionalism.

fostering a welcoming and supportive counselling environment.
· - Ability to handle pressure: Handles high-pressure situations, tight deadlines,
and multiple student cases calmly and efficiently without compromising service
quality.
· - Adaptability and Openness to Change: Responds flexibly to changing visa policies,
education trends, and institutional requirements, while continuously updating
knowledge and processes.
· - Attention to Detail: Ensures application documents, visa requirements, and eligibility
criteria are carefully checked to avoid errors and delays.

offers practical, timely solutions to support their academic and career goals
abroad.

requirements:
